Nicholas Ritch, EA, LTC

After receiving his Associates Degree in accounting, Nicholas became licensed in the state of Oregon as a tax preparer and began working at a family run tax practice in Eugene in January of 2014. In the first few years with ABTS, Inc. he honed his skills working on hundreds of tax returns with veteran CPA’s and Enrolled Agents. In Feb of 2017 he met all requirements and passed the licensed tax consultant exam for the state of Oregon. After the 2017 tax season he went to work studying for the three-part comprehensive Special Enrollment Exam. In the summer of 2017 he passed all three parts of the exam and became designated as an Enrolled Agent by the IRS.

Nicholas currently still works for the firm he got his start at, while he continues to build on his own personal tax business. He works out of an office in his home in Monroe, Oregon serving clients in Lane and Benton County locally, and a number of clients in California, where he was born and raised.

When he isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his wife Erin and his daughters Olive and Esper. Some of his hobbies include working on various home projects, woodworking, gardening, home canning, fermentation, and gaming. He is a member of the Oregon Association of Independent Accountants. He is currently serving as a Monroe City Councilor. He is also an early member of the newly formed Business Association of Monroe (BAM!), and on the board of a local non-profit, Monroe Arts Association, dedicated to exapanding the local arts community and providing arts education.

Since buying their family home in Monroe, Nick has grown to love his new city and hope to make an impact on the community for many years to come.

Erin Ritch

Erin Ritch has lived in the Pacific Northwest for the majority of her life and loves raising her family in Oregon. Erin attended Lane Community College and earned degrees in both Broadcasting and English Literature, then spent a year in Vancouver, British Columbia studying Film Production at Vancouver Film School.

After graduating, Erin worked in a variety of roles in the film industry ranging from production assistant to film editor. Her eye for detail has also helped in administrative roles, most recently working as a Buyer's Assistant for Bi-Mart Corporation. Erin left her role at Bi-Mart to focus on creative writing full time and founded her small press (No Wyverns Publishing) in 2015. She has since published five books and her personal essays have appeared in Oregon Home Magazine and The Manifest Station.

Erin helps out with administrative tasks and is currently working on getting her tax license to assist with tax preparation as Ritch Tax Service continues to grow. Erin is a volunteer with the Monroe Community Library Legacy Fund and stays busy homeschooling her two daughters, writing her next book, and chasing after the backyard chickens.
